Hi, I'm Kobus — a South African wedding photographer based in Cape Town, photographing weddings throughout South Africa and beyond.

450 weddings
I've photographed more than 450 weddings across the Western Cape, the Cape Winelands, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, the Overberg, the Garden Route and throughout South Africa. I've also had the privilege of photographing destination weddings abroad.
But the most important thing you should know isn't the number.

I'm the calm, relaxed presence on your wedding day — the photographer who keeps things running smoothly, helps you breathe, and makes the whole experience feel easy.
I'm not loud, I'm not stiff, and I'm not the photographer who takes over the day. I keep you calm and comfortable in front of the camera, guiding things naturally without forcing anything. I notice the moments you don't even realise are happening, and I help the day run on time without you ever feeling rushed.

Mostly, I try to bring a warm, down-to-earth presence that puts everyone at ease — because that's what makes people look like themselves.

My goal is never just to take pretty pictures. It's to capture what your day felt like.

In 2024 I lost my dad, and it changed the way I see weddings.
It made me far more intentional about the people at the edges of the day — parents and grandparents, old friendships, the quiet moments between the big ones. Those are the photographs that matter most as life moves on, and they're the ones I never want to miss.
